Whether you're looking for a day of friendly competition, a night at a local sporting event, or an evening to remember, Conventions San Antonio can make all the arrangements.

Sporting events

San Antonio has a number of golf courses and tennis courts for your year round enjoyment. Better still, we have the weather to match. Conventions San Antonio can set-up times for a small number of people or organize tournaments for the entire group. If spectating is more your speed, San Antonio is home to the NBA SPURS, the AHL Rampage and the MLB Missions (Dodgers AA club). We also have seasonal horse racing and can plan a rodeo for those looking for a true Texas experience.

Theme Dinners/Parties

These are our specialty. From boot scootin` at a country and western BBQ to rubbing elbows at an Oil Baron's Ball, we have done it all. Here are just a few of our favorites:

Mexican Fiesta - Folk dancers, strolling mariachis and margaritas make this night in El Mercado one to remember.

Border Party - A theme party, held on the San Antonio River. Start off on the Mexican side with botañas, mariachis and margaritas. If you can prove your Texas loyalty to the border guards you can cross back over to the American side and finish off the evening with Lone Star Beer, western swing and a Texas steak. Of course you'll need a Texas passport.

Denim and Diamonds - A BBQ dinner under the Texas stars at a nearby ranch.

Institute of Texan Cultures Reception - Learn how Texas came to be through film, living historians, and visual displays. This is a walk, talk and eat event so come hungry and eat slow. We have a lot to share. You can see what your heritage brought to Texas.

Big Band Dinner Party - Enjoy dinner and the sounds of live Big Band music. Cut a rug to your favorite Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and Count Basie hits.

River Barge Dinner - Dinner is catered by one of the local restaurants as you cruise the passages of the San Antonio River. Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery and the food.
